The Agrupación Deportiva Marathon, Atresmedia and Sport Life Ibérica organize, together with the collaboration of the City Council of Madrid, the 8th edition of the 5k Race - ProFuturo, to be held on April 6, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., starting and finishing at Paseo de Recoletos nº 12.
Note: The schedules and the location of the start and finish may be subject to variations due to organizational requirements or those of the Administrations that authorize the event.
The course measures approximately 5 km approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).
Course to be confirmed
All persons who wish to participate, born in 2010 and previous years, whether federated or not and without distinction of sex or nationality. For this they must have registered properly, according to the rules set out in these regulations.
The maximum time to complete the race is 60 minutes from the official start.
Registrations can be made exclusively through the official website www.carrerafundacionprofuturo.com according to the following deadlines and prices up to a maximum of 2,500 runners:
- From the start of registrations until October 31, 2024: 10 €.
- From November 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024: 12 €.
- From January 1 to March 24, 2025 (close of registration): 15 €.
- Registration in person at the Runner's Fair: 25 €.
The registration fee includes the cost of managing the payment platform.
Those runners who do not have the federal athletics license with coverage for the territory of Madrid must add the day license for the accident insurance of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation which has a cost of 3 €.
Conditions of the cancellation and change of ownership guarantee:
Once the registration has been formalized, the registration fee will not be refunded in any case except to those who have contracted this guarantee fee, for which the organization offers an insurance or guarantee of cancellation or change of ownership of the bib, with a cost of 3 € per registration, under the following terms:
- In requests for cancellation or changes before March 1: 100% refund of the registration fee or changes without added cost.
- For requests for cancellations or changes between March 1st and March 23rd: 50% of the registration fee or changes will be refunded at no additional cost.
- For requests after March 23, registrations will be considered definitive, and no refunds or deferrals can be made.
The cancellation guarantee can only be contracted at the time of registration.
The amount of the cancellation guarantee is not refundable in any case.
However, changes of ownership will be accepted without this guarantee until March 23 at a cost of 3 € and at the Runner's Expo at a price of 5 €. Requests for cancellations and changes of ownership (except after those made at the Expo or “Feria del Corredor”) must be made through the email inscripciones@deporticket.com within the deadlines indicated.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
- Registration is personal and non-transferable and implies full acceptance of these rules.
- Once the registration has been formalized, it will not be possible to transfer the participation to another person, except by the methods described in these rules.
- T-shirts will be delivered according to the size requested at the time of registration. The Organization does not guarantee to be able to deliver to all the participants the size of t-shirt requested, since the production of the t-shirts starts well before the closing date of registration.
- The registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances, including injury or work-related reasons, except for those who have contracted the cancellation guarantee and under the conditions of the same.
- Registrations that do not have all the correct identification data will not be considered valid: ID card or identity document, name, surname, date of birth, sex and test.
The following categories are established, both in men and women:
- Absolute: Includes all categories of each sex.
- Youth: Born in the years 2008 and 2009.
- Junior: Born in 2006 and 2007.
- Veterans A: from 35 years old on the day of the race.
- Veterans B: from 45 years old on the day of the race.
To pick up bib number (including the chip) and official T-shirt will take place, exclusively, at the Runner's Expo, on April 3rd, from 13:00 h to 20:00 h, and April 4th and 5th from 10:00 h to 20:00 h, at a place to be determined.
To collect the dorsal-chip runners will have to present the receipt or copy of registration (paper or digital), or ID card, passport or other official document proving identity.
In case of not being able to pick up the bib in person, an authorization must be made to the person who will pick it up by presenting a copy of the ID of the registered runner when picking up the bib.
The T-shirt will be given upon presentation of the dorsal-chip.
Important:
- Runners will not be able to order a different size than the one requested at the time of registration.
- The organization does not guarantee to be able to deliver to all runners the size requested at the time of registration, due to the fact that the production is made well before the closing of registration.
- Bib numbers and T-shirts will not be given out on raceday.
- The race bibs have a disposable chip, so they cannot be folded or manipulated or altered in any way, including advertising.
- The race time will only be recorded if the bib-chip is correctly placed on the front of the trunk.
The first three runners in the absolute category will receive a trophy, which will be awarded at the ceremony of the event.
The first three runners in the rest of the categories will also receive a trophy, which will be delivered to them at the A.D. Marathon club offices (Calle Villaamil nº 65, Madrid, telephone: 914026962) between the 15th and 30th of April. In case of requesting the delivery of the trophy, the winner will be responsible for all the expenses. Failure to collect the trophy by the winners on these dates will be understood as a waiver of the trophy and any other prize that entails such classification.
The control of the race will be carried out by the judges appointed by the Madrid and/or Spanish Athletics Federation.
The time will be measured by computer system and chip, provided by the Organization and not being valid other chips other than the one provided. There will be time control points at the start and finish line. The Organization reserves the right to place more checkpoints along the course.
The referee will be appointed by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation to resolve any technical event, interpreting the rules of the race. In matters not covered by these rules, the rules of World Athletics will be followed.
The results will be published on the official website of the event, carrerafundacionprofuturo.com, and will be displayed next to the awards area, being the sole and exclusive competence of the judges appointed by the Federación Madrileña de Atletismo.
Claims affecting positions in the classification shall be submitted in writing to the Referee Judge within 30 minutes from the publication of the classifications.
Other claims must be sent in writing to the Organization's e-mail admarathon@admarathon.es , to the attention of the Referee, before the Wednesday following the celebration of the race.
The Organization will communicate the decisions of the Judge Referee within a maximum period of 10 days, after which the classifications will be considered final. Therefore, all trophies and prizes will be provisional until that time.
The following will be grounds for disqualification
- Providing false data in the registration.
- Failure to complete the entire course.
- Not going through the checkpoints located in the circuit.
- Not wearing the bib clearly visible on the chest or altering or hiding its advertising.
- Running with the bib and/or chip assigned to another runner.
- Failure to heed the instructions of the judges and / or staff of the Organization.
- To have given the bib for photocopying and to be used by another runner.
- Refusing to pass the doping control.
- To behave in an unsportsmanlike manner.
In addition, the medical service of the race and the referees are empowered to withdraw from the race any athlete who shows a bad physical condition.
REFRESHMENTS
Refreshments will be available at the finish line.
CHECKROOM
Runners will be able to make use of a free checkroom service, located in the Plaza de Colón, where they can leave their belongings in a bag, the Organization not being responsible for the objects delivered. The service will be available from 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 6th.
The staff of the organization may request the opening of the bag or backpack to check its contents. Refusal to do so will result in the refusal of the custody of the bag or backpack.
TOILETS
There will be chemical toilets at the start and finish area.
PHOTOGRAPHIC REPORT
The organization will make available to all participants the possibility of purchasing a professional photographic report of their participation in the race.
INSURANCE
All runners are covered by a civil liability insurance and an accident insurance, in accordance with current legislation.
The Organization declines all responsibility for any physical or moral damage that an athlete may cause to himself or to third parties while participating in the race.
VIDEOS
All participants will be able to download free of charge the finish line video, available on the official website the days after the race.
OFFICIAL DIPLOMA
The official diploma, which shows the general position, by category, the official time and the average pace, will also be available for downloading, free of charge and through the official website, from the Monday following the race.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
The Organization has the necessary medical services to assist the runner during the race.
The Organization recommends all participants to undergo a medical examination prior to the race, accepting all participants the risk derived from the sport activity.
Any athlete with health problems is obliged to notify in advance and in writing to the Organization, mark his dorsal with a red cross and write on it his name, address, telephone number and health problem he suffers from.
A physiotherapy and podiatry service will be available for the exclusive use of runners who have suffered any type of injury. The physiotherapy service will not be used, in any case, as a relaxing or unloading massage.
BROOM CAR
The Organization will provide a broom car to be used by runners who do not wish to continue the race or who are forced to abandon it.
It is not allowed to use any wheeled apparatus or device during the race, except for wheelchairs (not handbikes) of disabled athletes registered in the wheelchair category, approved by the RFEA and officially admitted by the Organization. It is also not allowed to run with baby carriages, dogs or any kind of pet, since, in case of accident, the insurance does not cover the incident and any medical and/or legal expenses, claim or compensation would be at the expense of the one who has generated the incident.
The circuit is closed to all vehicles. The only vehicles allowed to follow the race will be those accredited by the Organization.
It is strictly forbidden to follow the runners in any type of motor or wheeled vehicle (skates, bicycles, etc.).
The participation in the event is under the responsibility and own risk of the participants. The participant, at the time of registration, declares to be physically fit to complete the course of the race.
The Organization declines all responsibility for the effects, consequences or liabilities arising from damages, both material and personal, that may be caused by the participants, on the occasion of the race, to themselves, to other people and even in the event that third parties cause damage to the participant, volunteer or organizational staff.
All participants, by registering, accept these regulations and the rules of the RFEA, FMA, WA and AIMS. In addition, they give their consent for the Agrupación Deportiva Marathon, by itself or through third parties to which it entrusts it by virtue of a processing contract, to process their personal data, as well as their image within the event by means of photographs, videos, etc., for exclusively sporting, promotional or commercial purposes.
For the purposes provided for in Article 5 of Law 15/1999 of 13 December on the protection of personal data, you are informed that personal data and official photographs of the 5k ProFuturo Race will be incorporated into a file owned by the Agrupación Deportiva Marathon (G78026150), organizer of the event, in order to use them solely and exclusively for the purposes requested.
The participant may exercise his/her right of access to these files in order to rectify or cancel partially or totally their content. To exercise this right, he/she must request it by mail to admarathon@admarathon.es, enclosing a photocopy of his/her ID card.
In case of doubt about any circumstance that may arise, the criterion of the Organization will prevail.
In addition, the participant of the ProFuturo Race accepts with his/her registration the following:
I, as a participant of the ProFuturo Race, am informed that during my participation in the ProFuturo Race images may be taken for dissemination. The use of the images will be solely for social, promotional, advertising and dissemination purposes of the ProFuturo Race and its future editions, as well as to promote the activities of FUNDACIÓN PROFUTURO. The images may be used in the media, social networks, brochures, posters, websites and any other media or support related to the aforementioned purposes.
